This page explains how we handle information, cookies, analytics, and advertising on this website (“Site”).
By using the Site, you agree to these terms.
1. Privacy Policy
Summary: We don’t require accounts or ask for names, addresses, or payment details to use the calculators.
Calculator inputs are processed in your browser (not stored on our servers). We do use cookies/identifiers for analytics
and advertising (e.g., Google Analytics and Google AdSense), which may collect device and usage data.

1.2 Privacy Laws
The Site is intended for users in Canada. Depending on where you live and how information is handled,
Canadian privacy laws may apply, including Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law (PIPEDA) and, in some cases,
provincial private-sector laws (for example, British Columbia, Alberta, and Quebec).
1.3 Information We Collect
We collect limited information in these ways:
A) Information processed locally (not stored by us)
- Calculator inputs: Salary figures, hours, deductions, and similar entries are processed in your browser to show results. We do not intentionally store these entries on our servers.
B) Automatically collected information
- Device/technical data: Browser type, device type, operating system, approximate location (e.g., city/region), and similar technical signals.
- Usage data: Pages visited, time on site, interactions with calculators and links.
- Identifiers: IP address and cookie/advertising identifiers may be collected by analytics/advertising providers when enabled.
1.4 How We Collect Information
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 2)
- Server logs (basic security and operations logging)
- Third-party services such as Google Analytics and Google AdSense (see Section 3)
1.5 Why We Use Information
- Operate the Site: Deliver calculator functionality and maintain site security.
- Analytics: Understand site usage so we can improve calculators and content.
- Advertising: Display ads to support the free service.
- Compliance: Meet legal and operational requirements where applicable.
1.6 Consent
Where required, we ask for consent for non-essential cookies/identifiers (such as analytics and advertising cookies).
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising (see Section 3).
1.7 Sharing and Third Parties
We may share information with:
- Analytics providers: e.g., Google Analytics (when enabled).
- Advertising providers: e.g., Google AdSense and their partners (when enabled).
- Service providers: Hosting/CDN or security providers who help run the Site.
We do not sell personal information for money.
1.8 International / Cross-Border Processing
Some third-party providers may process information on servers located outside Canada (for example, in the United States or other countries).
Information processed outside Canada may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
1.9 Retention
- Calculator inputs: Not intentionally stored by us (processed locally in your browser).
- Analytics/advertising data: Retained by the relevant provider based on their settings and policies.
- Server logs: Kept for a limited period for security and operations, then deleted or anonymized.
1.10 Your Privacy Rights (Canada)
Depending on your province/territory and the circumstances, you may have rights to request access to,
and correction of, personal information we hold about you. In certain jurisdictions (e.g., Quebec),
additional rights may apply in some situations (for example, withdrawal of consent, deletion, portability, etc.).
To make a request, contact us using Section 8. If we do not have enough information to identify your data
(because we don’t run user accounts), we may ask for reasonable details to help locate it.
1.11 Children
This Site is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through this Site,
please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to address it.
1.12 Changes to This Policy
We may update this page from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above shows when changes were last made.

2. Cookie Policy
Cookies & consent: We use essential cookies for functionality and may use analytics/advertising cookies
if you consent (or where permitted by applicable law).
2.1 What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies (like local storage, pixels, and SDKs)
may also be used for analytics and advertising.
2.2 Types of Cookies We Use

- Example provider: Google Analytics
- Purpose: Understand traffic and usage patterns (e.g., which pages/calculators are popular).

3.3 Interest-Based Advertising Opt-Out (Canada)
You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies using AdChoices tools in Canada.
This does not block ads — it reduces interest-based targeting.
3.4 Do Not Track / Global Privacy Controls
Some browsers offer privacy signals (e.g., “Do Not Track”). Because standards vary, we may not respond to every signal in every context.
You can still manage cookies via the banner (if available) and your browser settings.
